KDR-1000
KDR- 1000 is the first core drilling rig manufactured by Kores Engineering. Our client, Mineral Exploration, was frustrated with the mechanical rig’s speed, efficiency, and productivity levels. They wanted a powerful and efficient drilling rig.
Solution
We designed a fully hydrostatic, multi-purpose drilling rig with high productivity levels and sift-friendly features. The earliest models were based on American standards, but the accessibility of additional spare components presented another issue. We quickly altered and modified the drilling rig to suit the terrains of India and Africa.
The latest KDR 1000 is a truck-mounted, hydrostatic drilling rig with a 3-meter stroke and a 6-meter pull. The machine's high speed & torque ensures increased productivity for deep drilling exploration. MECL compared KDR 1000's performance with their existing imported machine and found that our model performed better.
After replacement of Kores new machines & along with CAMC, we have operated all the machine 24X7, up to 700 working hours per month, which resulted into the record-breaking performance of up to 2200 Mtrs per month against the target of 1000 Mtr per month.

Initially, we have purchased 5nos machines in 2008, first time in India, Due to Kores training, service supports & machine performance, we can achieve our all targets & our Management agreed to place repeat order for more 5nos rigs in 2009. Today we have 17nos of Kores hydrostatic drills.

We have replaced our old Mechanical machines with Kores KDR-1000 Hydrostatic drills in 2014. We have set a target of 1000 Mtr drilling per month but due to extraordinary support from Kores & machine performance, we can achieve upto 1600 Mtr per month.
